The island is located in the central part of the Cyclades island group, north of Santorini. It is an island with golden beaches, numerous valleys with vineyards and olive groves, and oko186.5km2 area of 120km along the coast. The island has been known throughout history by marble quarry from which they made numerous temples. Today it is known for its wine and olive oil. Tourism is only recently developed on the island. Cities have retained their traditional architecture, low white houses in narrow streets. The islands can be reached from Piraeus ferry or plane from Athens. The island is well connected to the surrounding islands and Crete.

The capital of the island Parikia. Was built on the ruins of ancient temple, the architecture is typical of the Cyclades islands, with white houses, narrow cobbled streets. This charming and quiet town during the summer is visited and the port is always full of tourists.

NORTH ISLAND TOUR AROUND
The road from town to the bay Naouse leads across the island to the monastery Longovardas located in the middle of the road. The monastery was built in the typical architecture of the Cyclades, and painted numerous icons.
Port of Naoussa had a great significance in the history of the island. In 1770 the port was the principal seat of the Russian fleet. During this period, Naoussa was the trade center.
Today, this town has about 1,200 inhabitants. Over the past few years built a lot of new houses, but this town still retained its former charm. Tourists in this town can visit the remains of the castle from the fifteenth century, the Byzantine Museum, which contains many icons of the XII and XIII century, and many archaeological sites. At the entrance to town is the church of Sv. Athanase from the seventeenth century. In the harbor are numerous restaurants, bars and cafes overlooking the sea.
EAST TOUR AROUND ISLANDS
This tour moves from city to city across the island Lefkesa. Along this road there are marble quarries, which was very famous in history. From this white marble were built many temples in Athens, Delos and Olympia. Lefkes is located at 200m above sea level and most of the village on the island. It is 10km from the capital. The village has many interesting churches. The village was built as amhiteatar and has about 500 inhabitants.
